Amy Gottschalk
Amy Gottschalk has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since her graduation from Health Choices Holistic Massage School in 1996. Amy’s massage work is deep and focused.   Her style employs a system of muscle-based techniques like trigger-point work and deep tissue massage while setting them in the context of the body as a whole.  She incorporates stretching movements for traction and flexibility, gentle rocking for relaxation and release, and structural positioning techniques. She specializes in Neuromuscular Therapy, Trigger Point Release, Deep Tissue Massage, and Hot Stone Therapy.
Amy knows that the stress in our daily lives and the desire to be healthy demand attention and active management. When massage therapy is added to an over-all wellness program it can have a valuable and lasting impact.  Amy works in partnership with her clients.  She helps them learn to listen to their bodies and address the places they are holding stress, feeling sore, and are out of balance.  Massage can keep your stress levels lower, help avoid small aches from becoming larger problems, eliminate soreness from exercise and more intense use, and make clients feel connected and more grounded.
She has been a member of the Association of Body Workers and Massage Professionals for 18 years.  Over the years she has worked with people trying to stay fit, sports enthusiasts and athletes, and people in orthopedic rehab or with chronic illnesses.  She has many years’ experience working with the elderly and clients living with Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and cancer.
